Xu is the solo project of Nicola Fornasari started in 2010. It combines elements of ambient, modern classical, minimalism, drone and field recordings.

That Which is Not
That Which Is Not is a project that combines the sound experiments of Nicola Fornasari and the instrumental ramifications of Pier Giorgio Storti (Morose, Belaqua Shua, etc) who, with notes of cello and many other instruments, adds nuances to a rich picture of pulsating introspection.
Xu(e)
Xu(e) draws its fundamental inspiration from taoism, but aims to explore whatever represents a meaningful contradiction. It is a unity of opposites, aside from a thesis/anthitesis/synthesis approach. It is a rational method to deal with the irrational.
The duo is formed by long time friends Xu (Nicola Fornasari) + Xue (Andrea Poli). It is a group focusing its activity on audio and, in the early years, visual experimentation. The two have not been seeing each other for some years now and have developed a kind of alchemical, asynchronous remote collaboration as a creative process, where time and space play almost no role.
Xu(e) has been recently exploring the intersection between dark ambient music and jazz, as if it was played decades ago in Shanghai's smoky Bund-side venues.
La petite vague
La Petite Vague is electroacoustic duo Nicola Fornasari and Diego Balconi who experiment primarily using piezo-amplified objects, unusual DIY instruments and effects, live looping, extended techniques, feedback loops and circuit bending. The live performances and recordings are unique and unplanned.
Twyxu
Twyxu is a duo composed of Omar Martani (Twys) and Nicola Fornasari (Xu). It incorporates elements of noise/drone, improvisation, ambient and electro-acoustic.
Zero Wait enSemble
Zero Wait enSemble (originally formed in 2008 by members of ZWS, XU(E) and Big Eyes Trance) is a sound collective mostly voted to live performances, changing his lineup depending on the different works or performances to be proposed.
The actual lineup of Zero Wait enSemble is: Twys (Omar Martani), Paus:end (Giuseppe Toninelli) and Xu (Nicola Fornasari). They are often assisted by external musicians.
