xu made two looped tapes from a snippet of a xue track and arranged them live in his flat, recording the performance with a condenser microphone placed near a broken speaker. xue distilled music and noise from the mono recorded track and accomplished the work manipulating the sonic landscape to create a sense of upward/downward motion.
